Hi, guys! Welcome to my new Blog. I don't know exactly how I will use this site yet. I will start, I think, by promoting my photography site, at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/paulabirds and my poetry site, at: http://paulapuddephatt.tripod.com/poems. Please check these links out and I hope to be able to add a little more content to this site too, in the near future.
I don't know what the "Paula Puddephatt Blog" will be about, precisely: whatever I feel like rambling on about, at a guess. I'm married to Colin, and we've got twenty-one pet birds, so I suppose that they will get a few mentions. In fact, I may as well introduce them now. There are nine budgies, two lineolated parakeets, nine finches (eight zebras and a star) and one canary. The best way to meet them is to look at their pics, on my flickr website, but I'll tell you their names anyway. Budgies: Jimi, Donna, Sparkey, Tiffany, Bert, Davy, Debbie, Sammie and Mikey. Parakeets: Apple and Pear. Zebra finches: Ringo, George, Stuart, Billy Zed, Pete, Klaus, Damon and Jarvis. Star finch: Eric. Canary: Amos. They're all gorgeous, with great personalities. And they all live in our living room, in large flight cages. Some of them used to live in different rooms, in our home, but we - and they - much prefer the current arrangements, even if it does get a little noisy, at times! :)
I also write fiction and poetry. I try to concentrate on the former nowadays, but don't spend enough time on my writing projects, as I lack self-discipline. I also suffer from depression, chronic daily headaches and migraines, which is a significant factor here - but not an excuse, of course. I could write more than I do.
